What is the story behind the name, Black Inhale?
Generally, the name stands for our passion for music,
especially METAL!
Black = metal
Inhale = embrace, intense experience
How was the response to “A Doctrine of Vultures”?
The response was and still is amazing. I mean there are people and even radio stations out there who order A Doctrine Of Vultures on top with the newest albums of metallica, megadeth or gojira...that is a great honour and motivates us to go on!
What inspires your lyrics?
Nothing but primates and their way to live!
What are Black Inhale’s plans for the rest of 2017? Early 2018?
Summer Breeze this week, to support VOLBEAT with all power on 1st of September, a headliner show in Vienna in our beloved Viper Room...and we wanna start with the songwriting for another baby.
If you guys could choose one artist/band to perform/tour with, who would that be?
Metallica, that would be huge!

Where and when did Black Inhale form?
In 2009, in a small austrian village named Zillingtal (we call it Killingtal btw) in the middle of nowhere.
What is the “Black Inhale” songwriting process like?
In general, I write the guitar riffs first - with mostly definite ideas of the vocals - then Boris and I work out the drums and arrangements - finally we polish the songs all together.
Who are some of the band’s influences? Favorite artists?
Pfuhh - there are so many...we live music every day. We grew up with all those grandiose bands like Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, Sepultura, Extreme, Morbid Angel, Guns 'n' Roses, Fear Factory...
Describe the best show you have played to date.
NOVA ROCK 2017 - huge stage, awesome audience, professional organisers...an unforgettable day and even milestone for Black Inhale.
